Johnson - Clifton Henry

New Market- Clifton Henry Johnson, 65, died at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday in the Westbrook Convalescent Home at Crawfordsville, where he had been a patient for a week. He had been in ill health the last eight and a half years. He was a native of Iowa Station, La., born July 20, 1889 to Elmer J. and Susan Cuppy Johnson. He was married July 28, 1943 to Viola Lyons. Mr. Johnson was a member of the New Market Methodist Church. Survivors include the wife; a sister, Mrs. William Cuppy of near New Market; two brothers Clarence of California and Roy of Oregon, and nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Walter Porter will officiate, and burial will be in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. It is requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Cancer Fund. - thanks to Beth
